If this album was on 1LP then side A would have 5 tracks and be 24:24 and side B would be 23:39. In modern days they try to keep it to 17 minutes max per side to get higher than normal sound quality (to try to partially match CD's higher sound quality). ![]() ![]() That's a soft limit not a hard limit, but it requires more talented people who charge more for their time to cut a record that goes past that, plus there's a greater chance of skipping (the side walls of the groove are thinner) and the dynamic range (difference between loudest sound and quietest sound on that side) is lowered. When the Long Play format was first introduced the maximum amount of music per side was 24 minutes. For those saying the vinyl version could've been 1LP.I kind of agree with you but it is over even the original default max per side.
